The Story Lives will be published this year!
Over the past years, I worked on my book, entitled The Story Lives: Leading a Missional Revolution. In this book, I discuss how everyone has a story and that our stories have value and deserve to be lived missionally because they fit in God's greater story.
In October, 2011, I finished the manuscript and sent it to several publishers with mixed results. My friend, Tamara Buchan, encouraged me to contact Tendril Press in Aurora, Colorado. Her book, Identity Crisis: Reclaim the True You!, was published by Tendril this year. So, I contacted Karin Hoffman. Karin and her editor, Cecile Higgins, loved the manuscript and sent me a contract!
May 1, 2012, I signed the publishing agreement! Wow, The Story Lives will be published this year.
"Juneuary" in Seattle is perfect editing weather
After the contract was signed, things progressed slowly at first. I thought my hard work was done and that the publisher would do the rest. Well, when you partner with a great boutique publisher like Tendril Press, the work continues. It's awesome. As the author, I remained involved in the project, including editing and marketing.
So, June has been spent editing and rewriting. A perfect task during our uniquely "Juneuary" weather.
